Sequel to House of the Scorpion. Takes place immediately after House ends. Not as good as the first book but still interesting. If you like sci-fi I recommend reading book 1 and following up with this one.

Librarianaut I ❤️ The House of Scorpion!! So excited to learn about this book! 8y

So I've decided that this year I'm going to try really really hard to read the books on my own shelves, and books sent to me. I'm bad at reading my own books. So these two library books, one for bookclub and the other is a sequel that I have to read. I'm going to try and just read library books that are sequels, bookclub books etc. Which is super hard when you work in a library. 😬

Snow day!! Took this picture early this morning. Almost 6 inches overnight and a blizzard still heading toward us. So I plan to stay home, inside and read. 🌨🌬❄️

"I think people have an instinct for a family. You look until you find a mother, a father, a sister, a brother. They don't have to be blood relatives. They just have to love you. And when you find them, you don't have to look anymore."
