Will Dimple and Rishi find their happily ever after? Find out in this funny, romantic, endlessly charming enovella companion to the New York Times bestseller When Dimple Met Rishi! Dimple Shah has a lot of opinions about marriage, but they boil down to this: Its not for her. Sure, she loves her boyfriend, Rishi, but why does she need to validate that with an institution that has historically never favored the woman? Why go through all that hassle? Rishi Patel deeply disagrees. He believes in the power that comes with combining love and tradition, and when the time comes, wants nothing more than to honor those things in a huge celebration with his friends and family. He knows Dimple loves him, but in hearing her rant about how marriage is a construct of hegemonic masculinity for the millionth time, a small, niggling part of him worries that its not the institution of marriage Dimple has a problem with; maybe its him. The two lovebirds find themselves at a philosophical impasse. Can they find a way to work it out, or does kismet have other plans?

I wasn't a fan of how Dimple's opinion about marriage changed just to have a happy ending. I felt that it made her lose a bit of her identity by making that choice 🌟🌟🌟

A short little sequel to When Dimple Met Rishi. Takes place after Ashish‘s story (book 2), about a year after Dimple and Rishi meet. These books were so light and fluffy (and fun!); I need something more substantial for my next read.

Goodreads shows this as 1.5 in series. I think it should be 2.5. It takes place after the events of Something about Sweetie.

As for the story. Angsty with a happy ending.

AND the author like my Instagram post for Something About Sweetie. 😁

4/5 stars. This was a great continuation. My only issue is that it talks about Sweetie and Ashish (one of The main character‘s brother) as a couple. This technically was released before Something About Sweetie was released, but timeline wise, it takes place after. It would have been nice to have read Sweetie‘s story first and then this. But it was still very good.

If you loved Sandhya Menon's When Dimple Met Rishi, you should pick up this sweet ⠀
"sequel story." It's pretty light, but it was so nice to revisit these characters.⠀

Has anyone else read As Kismet Would Have It?

This was sweet, almost too much so, but it was nice to read about Dimple and Rishi again. A good short story to read while commuting! #trainreads #shortstory
