Throwback to when I met Holy Robinson Peete at a reading conference. This is one of my favorite books and she signed it. My Brother Charlie is a great book to help siblings and family gain some understanding of children with Autism.
In honor of World Autism Awareness Day, I read my Kindergarteners “My Brother Charlie.”
Holly Robinson Peter creates this children‘s book based on her real-life son who was diagnosed with autism. Through this book, we learn how Charlie and his twin are different in some ways, but a lot alike, too!
My class related to this and were able to recognize how they, too, could help someone with autism feel more comfortable.
Definitely recommend!
