The poems in the book take you away into a world of reading with the language that is used. Each poem describes a wonderful trait of the world of reading. These poems make you feel something.

This book contains a great collection of poems celebrating the joys of books and reading. It is a fun complement to other books with a similar theme. These poems are written by various authors and are selected by the Bennett Hopkins.

“Early in the morning dog, book and me spend quiet moments just we three.

I loved the illustrations in this book! The illustrations look as thought it was done on a piece of paper with paint, colored pencils and markers. It‘s not perfectly done which I really enjoy because it‘s more real and authentic.

This is book full of poems from all different authors. Instead of one book full of poems by the same author, I feel as though this mixes things up and gives you a variety of different poems!

I love this whole first stanza because it takes me back to when I played in the orchestra! The words bring the whole experience back to life!

I think it‘s interesting how this poetry book doesn‘t just include abstract poems but it actually includes poems about reading poetry and some elements about poetry which I find super fun!!

Published in 2011 and illustrated by Yayo, this fun poetry book has lovely flow in the poems in which rhythm is used to keep children engaged and thinking of these poems almost like songs! The personification and use of rhyme makes the poems run off the tongue and enjoyable for children to read!
