I struggled with this one. I liked the premise, but everything just fell short for me.

The humor was too forced. In the moments I would usually find myself laughing, I wasn‘t. Actually, I don‘t think I laughed out loud once while listening to this (and I‘m an animated reader).

Another problem: there was no chemistry between Kelly/Ethan. So it felt forced. Also, he was a bland perfect robot.

I couldn‘t connect with what Kelly was going through.

1. I don't have a favorite romantic lead-it's more all about the dynamic between the 2!
2.They can be done well,but a lot of the time I feel like they are poorly developed and only there for the drama factor. Normally a no
3. Typically, I prefer fade to black. I definitely don't want a lot of specific physical details. Too weird!

This book looked so adorable but there was really nothing likeable about either character. And you know what, if you‘re going to build a robot in two days that is perfect and capable of having sex then I‘m going to want some scientific details. The whole thing felt like a friend whining about a weird dream they had.

I just couldn‘t get into this one. I think the writing was just not for me. I didn‘t care much for the characters and wasn‘t really invested at all in the plot. It was a bit slow and trivial for me.

My motto as well, now that I‘m back on the dating scene. It‘s hard out here!

So when I'm stressed I have poor impulse control, and lately I've been trying to use the library to meet those needs instead of impulsively spending. Here's this week's collection. Including one romance novel, which I pretty much never do but it looked cute so what the heck? Only a few more days left in the semester!

This was a very different type of romance. The main character makes a robot to be her date to a wedding, and then falls in love with him! I really liked the characters and the quirky plot. A very fun read

Despite what the blurb on the cover said, I did not fall in love with this book. The main character was awkward socially, fine, wanted to please her mom, fine, sucked at dating, fine, but it went on too long and wrapped up too fast

Anyone else try this one yet?? Maybe an unpopular opinion, but this seemed to be trying so hard to be something like Helen Hoang, but it just wasn‘t quite there... first 75 pages.
