My choice from the Livraria Lello bookshop in Porto was another Portuguese author. The Relic by Eca De Queiroz. A complete unknown author to me. #portugueseliterature #travelbooks

Freespirit Yes all gorgeous. Lots of book shops to see along with the beautiful churches and street scenes. People here are fit because the towns are hilly! @Velvetfur 6y

Velvetfur @Freespirit Oh yes I forgot about that! There's a street which leads up to Batalha which I think starts from Praca de Libertade and it's almost vertical! 6y

The Relic: A Novel | Eca De Queiros

Today I visited the wonderful bookshop in Porto, Portugal called Livraria Lello. It is divine, built in a neo-gothic style in 1880. It was later made famous as the bookshop frequented by JKRowlings as she wrote the first Harry Potter book. There is definitely shades of Hogwarts here😍
