I had no intention of purchasing this book. However, when I got to this page, I knew it had to come home with me. The classics Patience is reading bring back so many memories!

• What a depressing way to visit the library but I absolutely refuse to wear a mask so I keep my butt curbside!! Picked up these "H" chunks (Harry, Hitler, and The Hunger) today because it's been a year since I have had library books in my hands and I just couldn't wait any longer. (By the way, the mask attitude is because my glasses fog up like crazy and I can't even see ?)•

Crazeedi I haven't been to my library in a year too. I miss the smell, lol. I mostly dont wear a mask either, but then again i rarely go anywhere and i do wear at dr offices 4y
bibliobliss @Crazeedi It's sad that we have to be so inconvenienced just to enjoy books in public. I wear a mask only if it's absolutely necessary and I make decisions about where I go and what I do based on whether a mask is required or not!! ☹️ 4y
bibliobliss @Milara Oh no that sounds miserable 😐 stay safe out there!! 4y
Crazeedi @Milara oh my, and you are so right! Be safe my friend 4y
Crazeedi @Readage I do the same! 4y

A picture book about Patience and Fortitude, the two lion statues that faithfully guard the New York Public Library. One evening, Patience goes missing, Fortitude searches the whole library and discovers many interesting things within. Great read aloud book.

I had wanted to get this book for my daughter at the book fair but it was cancelled, of course. It was the first of many cancellations but I felt so bad about this one because I had promised this book. So imagine my happiness when I found it online at Target!

The pictures are fantastic and the story is very "Night at the Museum" but for book nerds. My 6 year old loves the very last page ❤️?

1. Every Monday
2. Eleven items
3. All physical books. Mostly fiction. A couple nonfiction.
4. I‘ve reached my renewal limit on The Red Tent and need to get it returned. Never did get time to read it.
5. Only three, which is low for me.
6. The audio version of Mitchell‘s Cloud Atlas.

#librarylove

monalyisha Oh, I loved “The Red Tent,” though! Hope you get to it someday. ❣️ Thanks for playing. 🤗 6y
bookseller_cate @monalyisha I loved The Red Tent, too. I was itching for a reread. I‘ll get to it soon. 📚😊 (Great questions, btw. I had fun.) 6y

@WorldsOkayestStepMom for #10kgiveaway, we love our local library! The closest branch is getting to know my daughter and me (in all our homeschooling glory) and are very helpful in finding our requested items (kiddo did an ILL recently).

The main branch is still pretty close, and yesterday we found prize tickets tucked inside a couple books. One was in the tagged book because we‘re the first to check it out!

WorldsOkayestStepMom That's awesome! I love that the librarians hid the prize tickets in the book! 💖 thanks for this entry! 6y
TheSpineView Love the idea of prizes! 6y
ravenlee @TheSpineView one said “you chose a book about a famous person!” The other was “you chose a book nobody else has read yet!” Then both told her to take them to the children‘s desk for a prize. They also said to check out and read the book, then tell them what she thought, and to keep looking for tickets! The kid picked one prize and now is sick of the tickets. 😂 6y

Oh my goodness, this rather delightful quest book is about the lions in front of the New York Public Library chilling in the stacks at night. #NYPL #childrenspoetry
