As a future teacher, I would love to use this book in my classroom! I love how you can you this to address a large range of topics and teach children about injustices.

This is a very informational story about a person who played a big part in our history. This will open great discussions about prejudice, racism, and injustice. Great way to expose young children to these topics!

Mehso-so

#JumpIntoJanuary Day 20: #MLKingJrDay. The interesting tidbits for me were those about MLK‘s childhood: when they will say grace before a meal such as the one above, or when he would play with friends in his neighbourhood, regardless of their race or skin colour. My review: https://wp.me/pDlzr-ic0

LibrarianRyan Is this from the same series of the 100 peieces of Gum and Ruth Bader Ginsburg? 4y
LibrarianRyan @GatheringBooks Yeah. Okay. I like the illustrations. And I liked the RGB story, but I didn't love it. They use the catchy title to pull your attention from the I Am, Who is, and Little People Big World titles, but I have found they are not always as good. But their title campaign is working. 4y
GatheringBooks @LibrarianRyan exactly! This is why it is a so-so for me as well. 💕💕 4y
