I love this simple book about emotions and how they can be different, but that is ok.

#RedRoseSeptember Day 23: What I find to be especially powerful in this picturebook is the capacity of one to decide what to do with one‘s heart, especially when it is broken, hurt, tight-fisted-closed - reminding me of #HeAintHeavyHesMyBrother. Im having a moment!!! My son made me this clock in school and just gave it to me for Mother‘s Day!!! 😭😭 Its totally functionally and he is so proud of it! I love his homemade gifts!

A lovely picture book with real heart (pun intended ;) ) I really enjoyed the simple drawings, done in what looked like graphite and colored pencil. It was minimal but somehow just what it needed. And the ideas about the heart were lovely and true. A good one that will start conversations with little ones about emotions.
