This was such a fun guide featuring the ladies of the Marvel Universe!

I am a huge Marvel fan so I knew I had to read this book. My all time favorite superhero is Squirrel Girl and she is included in this book.

Each hero gets about 4 pages dedicated to her; complete with a biography and fun facts. I loved that everyone got an equal amount of attention.

Some say it‘s not such a good book, but for a marvel fan I think it‘s really great because it gives you some info you don‘t know about the characters and the illustrations are awesome!

⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3/5 stars I had such high hopes for this book. While there was some good information in here, most of the writing was so cringey. I know this is meant for young audiences, but I think the over use of slang took away from the empowering phrases. Also how are "having a lot of money," being a "party girl," or being a "grade-A flirt" good skills for young women? The best thing about this book was the illustrations.

Being the number of times I have had the argument about women have the most power in the marvel world, I look forward to this book.

silentrequiem Did those who argued against never read Dark Phoenix Saga? 6y
LibrarianRyan @silentrequiem some. But many only had movie knowledge. 6y
silentrequiem @LibrarianRyan The X-Men movies did Jean such a disservice. Though I did like they made her a doctor. 6y

LibrarianRyan @silentrequiem agreed. I was arguing capt. marvel, mrs marvel, and Scarlet witch. We also brought in DC and how they have a woman problem. My smart cousin argued Storm and Rogue which I can see his reasoning. 6y
silentrequiem @LibrarianRyan I'd argue Rogue is one of the most powerful people because she can take anyone's power. Her personal life, though, sucks. And I totally wanted to be Storm as a kid. She was the coolest. 6y
silentrequiem @LibrarianRyan For DC, I'd say they can definitely do better. But Zatanna would be my pick for most potentially powerful person ever. They just never used her that way. 6y
