This is it. This is the first vampire novel I ever read. It was the very early 90s and I was at my very first away-from-home summer camp and not handling it super well. A very nice camp counselor was like “here ya go” and handed me this book. I devoured it in an afternoon and have had a weakness for the fanged undead ever since.

MarriedtoMrT It was probably my first as well. I had big feelings for this one but even bigger feelings for Blood and Chocolate, her werewolf book. Did you read that one? 4y
Miladygrimm @MarriedtoMrT I did! It was a fantastic novel. I really wish she‘d written more because everything she did was gold. 4y

“There is no word for goodbye in Lakota. That‘s what my mother used to tell me....she‘d told me that the Lakota people didn‘t use a term for farewell because of the idea that we are forever connected. To say goodbye would mean the circle was broken. “

Poston doesn‘t get nearly enough love. Her ability to take nerd culture and fairy tale themes and make fun, romantic, relatable characters enthralls me.

Chelleo this sounds fun.... 4y
Miladygrimm @Chelleo the whole series is great. Nerdy culture and sweet romance. Way more diversity than romance novels usually get. 4y
Chelleo I've added it to my ridiculously long TBR list 😁 4y

This book follows one of my favorite novels of all time, Geekerella. It is a fitting follow up to a great story about romance, fandoms, and finding the truth within.

Pickpick

I really should have gone to sleep last night but I found myself swept up in the story of two misfits who find one of the more realistic depictions of young love that I‘ve ever experienced.

Eleanor is the oldest daughter to a mom who chooses a craptacular man over the kids.

Park struggles to figure out who he is when he can‘t live up to his fathers hypermasculine identity.

They fall in love slowly and honestly.

The hype was earned.
