I am having a blast reading picture books tonight!
This one is from the duo that created Last Stop on Market Street, which I LOVED. Mom is a housekeeper and dad seems to be a day laborer; one of Carmela‘s wishes is for him to get his papers and come home. 😢
More new children's books! I love reading new children's books. Some are great and others are dumb.

pickThe thing I liked best in this one was the genuine sibling relationship. The brother is annoyed, little sister glares, but ultimately, they love each other. Story is much weaker here than Last Stop, but still enjoyable, and Robinson‘s art is spectacular as always.
