I had no idea Le Guin also wrote poetry! I should have known. The woman who wrote The Rule of Names would obviously have a deep understanding of the power of words. So glad I‘ve discovered this last collection because now I can work my way backwards.

Also, if I could tattoo the entirety of After the Death of Orpheus on my skin, I would. #TheSealeyChallenge 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌑

I was unfamiliar with Le Guin‘s poetry and found myself loving it so much, that I bought my own copy. (I had initially borrowed it from the library.) There is a certain contemplative aspect that reminds me of Mary Oliver.

It shocked me a bit that this is one of her last poems.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

TrishB That‘s lovely 💕 6y

I had not known she was a poet, much less such a prolific one!

This was the last book of poems that Ursula K Le Guin worked on before she passed away last year. Most of the poems in this collection are very short, but 2 of the longer poems in particular stood out to me as exceptional. The poem pictured was my favorite in the collection.

My fourth grade teacher read us The Earthsea Trilogy and I just fell in love with the way Ursula Le Guin writes. It‘s incredible to read the poems she composed even in her last days. You‘re incredibly missed. 💚 #theoriginalwizard

The poems of Ursula K. Le Guin‘s last four years of life are powerful, powerful—even as the poet weakens. #poetry #aging

Came across this poem (in an article) taken from Le Guin's book So Far So Good, isn't it soulful? ❤️

Book has been stacked already. 😶
