This would be a really cool book to read from for the whole class just to read a poem a day. This could act as a great introduction for children to poetry and it also could get them interested in nature.
This book would be an excellent introduction for children to both nature and poetry. The pictures in it are adorable.
Love these January poems, especially “The New Year.”
My stack of nature related reads that when I am not too busy I like to peruse in the morning. It‘s taking me forever to get thru them because when am I not busy and feel like I should be tackling the “to-do” list?
On the other hand, I am savoring reading bits at a time. 😁
I have always loved these kinds of riddles. 😄 I‘m going to pose it to my kids - let‘s see how long I can get away with not giving them the answer. 😜
January 4th
“January”
Little January
Tapped at my door today.
And said, “Put on your winter wraps,
And come outdoors to play.”
Little January
Is always full of fun;
Today we coasted down the hill,
Until the set of sun.
Little January
Will stay a month with me
And we will have such jolly times —
Just come along and see.
