Decent book. You can tell it‘s one of her earlier ones. A lot of twists and turns. Quite the mystery with some romance thrown in. Joanna is a reporter sent to cover the funeral of a famous actor. She ends up helping a lady named Rose who is visibly shaken by someone she sees. The rest is a roller coaster of a ride!!!
When I say that this book kept me guessing until almost the end. There‘s a red herring that sticks around for quite awhile until the big reveal. If you like strong female leads, mysteries and romance plus a little Royal intrigue, this book is for you! @SimonSchuster
New arc from #netgalley Gimme some Royals anytime! @SimonSchuster This book actually has an interesting backstory! It was originally written in 1998 and was supposed to be published in 2000 but amid fears of disapproval from the Royal Family, the publication was cancelled. I can‘t imagine how devastating that must be for an author!
I was excited to win a signed advance proof of The Royal Secret in a draw Lucinda Riley did on Twitter, and just finished reading it. Family drama, Royal history, intrigue, the London setting, a little romance... fans of Lucinda Riley are going to enjoy this one!
“I could tell you the secret but then I would have to kill you!" Joanna, a reporter, is asked to cover the funeral of Sir James Harrison, a famous actor. She stumbles upon a mystery that could devastate the British monarchy. Joanna is followed by secret agents. The book is packed with romance, mystery, history and conspiracy. Highly recommended to those who love to read about the royal family. I would like to thank Atria Publishers for a copy.

I was just contacted by Atria books to read Lucinda Riley‘s new book which is coming out in May 2019. They are sending me a copy which is great because I prefer physical books. Looking forward to reading this one!
