I‘ve made pretty good time through THE BRISTLING WOOD. I like the book itself just fine, but I‘ve come to realize I strongly dislike Rhodry, and Jill‘s devotion to him makes me think less of her into the bargain. That, together with how dull I found DARKSPELL, is gonna keep this series out of my permanent collection.
Thanksgiving turkey got postponed because my mum‘s not feeling well, but I still had a piece of my lemon sour cream pie. I made the frozen version this time, so the rest‘ll keep!
I‘m pleased to report I‘m 75 pages into THE BRISTLING WOOD and I‘m not bored! I mean, I‘m not super-duper hooked, but so far I like it way better than DARKSPELL. Hopefully it keeps up.
