The Best Summer Ever
The Best Summer Ever | Eve Bunting
1 post | 2 read
Welcome to Frog and his world. He enjoys nothing better than spending time floating in his pond or visiting with his friends. He appreciates the simpler things in life and would prefer that things stay just the way they are--nice and peaceful. From acclaimed children's writer Eve Bunting comes a beginning reader series featuring the delightful Frog and his friends Rabbit, Possum, Raccoon, and Squirrel. In Best Summer Ever Frog compares himself to a bat, takes a much-needed vacation, and meets a Starman who helps him see the night sky in a new way.

Thanks for the tags @Cinfhen @youneverarrived !

Here are my #top10summer2023 reads, from June, July and August this year. A couple of these are likely to make my favourite books of the year (definitely HoneyBees and probably Tom Lake and The Sleeping Car Porter) but there‘s a way to go yet!

What were your favourite books of the summer? My TBR pile isn‘t big enough so looking forward to adding to it! 🤣

Cinfhen Very exciting titles! There goes my TBR toppling 😉 1y
Deblovestoread Oooo, now I‘m curious about the Hanks! 1y
squirrelbrain @Deblovestoread - there was a point early on when I nearly bailed but I‘m SO glad I didn‘t. However, I listened to it and I just don‘t think it would have worked as well (for me) in print. It‘s one of those meandering wordy books and I think I‘d have skim-read it in print. 1y
