pickI really don‘t read enough paranormal romance anymore and this book made me want to correct that. I‘ve been a huge fan of Showalter‘s for close to 10 years now, ever since I picked up my first Lords of the Underworld book. This series is just as good! It was a bit confusing at times cause there was a lot of information and characters to introduce but it‘s a promising new series. Can‘t wait for book 2!

pickThis only barely made it to “Pick”. I usually love Gena Showalter‘s books. She builds great worlds, I adore the over-the-top humour, and her “sexy times” are good fun. But this one just didn‘t hit the mark. I liked the world building, but everything else was just too much over the top and superficial.
Here‘s to hoping the next book in this new series will again be at her usual level of awesomeness😉
