Meh... read 1/3 of it. I‘m bailing. Not sure what it is that I‘m not liking, but I just can‘t get into it.

As a teacher, I really liked this book! There were definitely some cringe-worthy bits, and times when I thought, “ohhh honey” about the characters, BUT I appreciated how it showed that teachers are only human and are often up against a ton of crap. #teacherbook #teachernerd #iteach #bookrec #roxannaelden
I know this book has received lukewarm reviews on Litsy. However, as a teacher in a district very similar to the one depicted in this book I have to say I totally related. Not only did I find myself shaking my head at its accuracy, I also found myself laughing at its sad, yet realistic absurdity. I always say there should be more fiction novels written around the world of education. I‘d recommend all educators give this one a chance.
As a teacher, this one is calling my name.
To-be-read stack! (Well, part of it.) #toberead #novel #fiction #readinglist #neverendingbooklist #bookworm #booknerd #cantwait #teacherreader
For any teachers out there, this was a humorous take on the daily struggles and policies of teachers! It‘s not meant to be serious, but is enjoyable and relatable!
As a teacher, I found this book to be a very accurate portrayal of the life of a public school teacher over the course of a school year. There were things that made me laugh, things that made me groan in solidarity, and things that made me sad. I am not sure if those who aren‘t teachers would be able to make that connection, but the story is an intriguing look at a cross-section of people that I thought was pretty good.
Decided to just see my year end report. I have finished one book since this and might finish another but I‘ll probably forget to look by the end of the year 😆 Always fun to see what I‘ve read over the year.
Took a pic of the computer so sorry it‘s blurry 😬😅
I had great hope for this and it started strong but once going dragged. Certainly relatable to any American public school teacher.
