pickFast-moving, interesting protagonist, and with a tiny dip into extremism from a few decades ago. Barnes did a good job tying everything together: past and present. Fun things along the way with some good similes that I noticed, and a plot that was plausible. A good, fast read!
Intrepid #Boston PI Carlotta Carlyle has her hands full at an undercover assignment to gather evidence for a fraud case involving a massive road construction project. What starts as a routine assignment soon escalates to all sorts of murder and mayhem.
