Great characters/world but a book heavy on banking & economics should be a snooze fest. It was, in a good way! I‘m losing you. It wasn‘t my usual high octane adventure.

5 characters: Marcus, Cithrin, Geder, Dawson/Clara, a merc, an orphan good at banking, a noble & a couple. Their personalities glowed & the world was drawn so well!

Political intrigue & banking. Spice surprised me.

Need to see where this one‘s going. Need book 2!

The Dragon‘s Path, my first of Daniel Abraham. It‘s in world building stages, but hey! It‘s Fantasy and right up my alley. Geder Palliako, Cithrin, Marcus, and Yardem are a few of the characters that‘ll play a big role. Oh yeah! There is something about Master Kit. A mystery likely to uncover. Looking forward to a magical path to war. Loyalty questioned and a plot of treason, for greed and power. #TheDaggerandtheCoin

Liked it a lot, great writing.

I love the Expanse series and had no idea that James S. A. Corey is the pen name used by Daniel Abraham and Ty Franck - one more reason to read Leviathan Wakes next.

Each chapter is from the point of view of a different main character, which does slow down the story. I strongly advise sticking with it, as it becomes an all encompassing world. Like all the better multi book fantasies, pretty soon I found myself living through my day with the world and characters always at the edges of my consciousness. I am now in book 4/5, and just flat out enjoying myself. This guy can write!
