This amazing poetry book “A Family of Poems” is great to have around for a RA. In this book there are many different poems for children that broken up into different categories such as, seasons, animals, bedtime, adventure, etc. This would be a great book to read aloud every now and then to get students familiar with different poetry formats!

Thayes1787 Having students pair up and create their own poem would be great after giving a few examples during RA (ESOL #32). https://teachingfourth.blogspot.com/2015/11/i-cant-believe-it-is-already-novembe...
Creating poems and reading them aloud to their peers will be great practice as well as build fluency during reading - UDL principle # 5.3. #UCFLAE3414SuB18

JayaJ This seems like a great book to have in a classroom library. This book would be a great way to introduce poetry to students! 6y
GGallegos This looks so cute! We never read a lot of poetry in my classrooms so I would love to integrate this into my future classroom. 6y
