pickGárdonyi is an author I rediscovered through the #popsugar2015 reading challenge. One of his books was (and still is) #requiredreading at primary school and it was a struggle for me; I still remember I was so relieved when I finally finished it that I jumped around my room. What a shame that his beautiful prose and wisdom is forced on preteens who lack the ability/experience to be able to appreciate it and go on to hate him for all eternity.
