I'd Really Like to Eat a Child (Turtleback School & Library)
I'd Really Like to Eat a Child (Turtleback School & Library) | Sylviane Donnio

A scrawny little crocodile wants the opportunity to bite off more than he can chew. He's tired of bananas; today he'd like to eat a child. But he's smaller than he thinks, and the little girl he chooses for his first meal puts him in his place--she picks him up and tickles his tummy! The little crocodile is going to have to eat a lot of bananas and grow a lot bigger before he can add children to his menu! Simple yet hilarious artwork brings this droll story to life.

I thought I‘d like this more than I actually did. The title is hilarious. The story itself is okay, and the twist is fun, but we probably won‘t read this one again.

Found this gem on a trip to San Fran in 2015 and have been loving it ever since. 😂🙌🏻

Perhaps a bit insensitive since I'm sure it's possible that it could happen in real life (though hopefully unlikely). Still, a fun story about a picky eater; parents will relate.

Lindy I LOVE this book! I've used it in so many library storytimes. Kids seem to like it more universally than adults. 9y
