Ooooo I like that...^^^...♡
A strangely drab and lifeless book. The framing device of a wrong-number phonecall from a young woman is barely used, instead there is a bland recitation of Einstein's biography peppered with brief conversations and excerpts from his diaries and letters, often repeated. Einstein comes across as unpleasant (he's horrible to the women in his life) and Gadney seems unenthused by his subject, providing little insight on his character or theories
I'm not sure on what the purpose of this book/story was? I thought it fiction? But it's a very (very) dry chronological recount of some events in Einstein's life. Left me questioning the point/purpose? Thought it a reimagining fictional story but I think it was non-fiction? 🤷
