As usual, I‘m a teensy bit behind with my posts. So here‘s Rowly Sinclair in a very beautiful #readingretreat library.
An Australian murder mystery set (largely) on a steam liner in 1932. The death count is HIGH! First time in ages I guessed early on whodunnit, tho not why. I agree with @CarolynM - not my favourite so far, but fully intending to carry on the series. Love the background setting and history, possibly more than the plots!
This week‘s #bookreport
I‘m still reading A Decline in Prophets, set on luxury cruise ship RMS Aquitania in 1932. Rowly and his bohemian artist friends are travelling home, but fellow passengers keep getting killed off…
Love the time and place and newspaper snippets.
These were some of the ghost ships lurking in the bay here during lockdowns, definitely not looking like Aquitania!
Happy weekend, all.
OK, this one‘s a little bit book-related.
Stopped off in Dawlish on the way back to see the black swans. Look what I found in one of the charity shops @CarolynM 😁. Bizarrely, it‘s even the next in the series for me to read. Extremely chuffed!
Still narked at the UK cover designers for slapping the title right across the middle of the pictures, but there we go.
