I didn't like this one as much as the first book. This one felt boring to me, but there were still a couple of good moments throughout. I particularly liked the dogs in the book, they made things interesting.

I love RaeAnne Thayne‘s books for their small town settings, quirky characters, and low angst. And happy endings! This was a great choice to read after finishing my longer, heavier last read, The Thorn Birds. Finished it with the world‘s best leg warmer napping on my lap. Not a bad life. 🐕
My first four reads for #WideHorizonsReadathon
-Redemption Bay ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
-Midnight in Austenland ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
-The Masque of the Black Tulip ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
-An Uncommon Woman ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Out of the ten books in the Haven Point series, six of them are Christmasy, but this is one of the not-Christmas ones. I really enjoyed the story overall although was a bit confused about some of the plot involving whether HP or another nearby town would be better for the business expansion, considering they are only "ten minutes" apart, which seems negligible for the amount of conflict over the choice!

Sweet and fun but oh so predictable. It was a lovely little town to slip into while cooking and spending time with family yesterday 😄
Finishing out Christmas night reading by the tree, a favorite tradition. Happy Christmas to all and to all a good night! 🎄😘
