The Mandie books were for young girls and were written by a Christian author.

I inhaled these books as a kid!

Karisimo I loved these too! This cover so nostalgic for me! 4mo
Coffeymuse @Karisimo You know, I have no desire to go hunt these down and reread. They were perfect for the time and place I was in. So much nostalgia! 4mo

I am STILL on track because it's only tomorrow after you've gone to bed! I could NOT think of an original answer for this prompt until RIGHT NOW. Drove me crazy all day. Mandie is definitely a #gryffindor! Such a brave little girl. I've been working on getting my hands on as many of these as I can! #Characters2017

Jess_Read_This ❤️🙌🏼❤️I had every book in this series. I love Mandie!! 7y
ReadingEnvy I loved these as a child and then ended up moving close to where they are set as an adult! 7y

Smangela @Jess_Read_This oh my gosh! 10 year old me and current me are both jealous. This was one of those series that I had forgotten about til I saw it at a library book sale and then all the memories of hurrying to check these out at the library came back 😍 I still saw her little prayer when I get scared haha! 7y
Smangela @ReadingEnvy oh my gosh! Jealous! Let me know if you stumble across a mystery like Mandie ;) 7y
Jess_Read_This @Smangela I wish I still had them ?My parents had a large downsizing garage sale and few of my book boxes "accidentally" were included. We still contest what happened to the books. ? 7y
Smangela @Jess_Read_This omg that kills me 💔 I'll never forget that my parents sold our Candy Land game at a garage sale, I was bewildered haha! 7y

Mehso-so

The nostalgia factor is so high with this book. This was one of the first books I bought with my own money. I was a member of the Mandie fan club and I eventually had the whole series. I read these all the time. I loaned them to my cousin when I was 11 and never saw them again. That began my reluctance to lend books. This book is problematic in parts as a 34 year old. I do plan on reading the rest of the series since they are at the library.
