My heart belonged to him; I wanted him to conquer my body as well; for one year or two, however long he wished. The measures for love are different for different people.

kishore_kk I'm glad to see some great names in this book. #Premchand is my all time favourite, I have read most of his books including 8 volumes of Mansarovar. I love Manto's work too. I also love to read Urdu Shayari. 7y

The first instance is to sense each other‘s presence, to feel the need to see the other. Once the eye is satisfied, the soul gets a green light, only then it‘s time to ask each other‘s name.

saresmoore What a beautiful quote! Tell me more about this book? 7y
Parvez It's beautiful. The book is a collection of Urdu short stories translated to English. Includes Urdu writers of Pakistan and India. 7y
Parvez “Mourner of the Feet”, the longest short story in this collection, is a story narrated by a shoe, a shoe that possesses “a crude rustic charm” yet is capable of immense perception, for a shoe is both witness to its wearer‘s pains and also a sharer in his sufferings. 7y
