Pickpick

The second and last book about Eamonn and Sorcha.

I really liked how Sorcha completely came into her own as a character and took control, she blew everyone out the water and was a strong and determined influence for her people.

Eamonn was less involved in this book, which I felt took away from the story and although I enjoyed it, I wonder if it would been better with him more involved.

A happy ending and a good story, recommended 🧚🏻‍♀️

I loved Heart of the Fae and I can‘t wait to start Veins of Magic, continuing the story of Eamonn & Sorcha!

This book just didn‘t live up to its potential. It wasn‘t terrible, but it wasn‘t good. Definitely a disappointing sequel. I felt like there were a lot of inconsistencies, both in the plot and in the characters. I liked the fae aspects of the story and the setting, but that was about it. Two and a half stars. ⭐️⭐️✨

ravenlee Bummer. I hate it when the sequel drops all the balls from the original. 6y
JazzFeathers I'd so want that beautiful cover to go with a beautiful story. 6y

I like a romance novel with a healthy dose of equality.

I‘m continuing on my my fluffy fairytale retellings series. Sometimes you just need some fluff in your life. 🤷🏻‍♀️

IamIamIam That's why I started leaning towards middle grade. Some books are surprisingly heavy but others are just enough to balance out all the heavy adult situations in other books! 💜 Mr. Lemoncello was a great fluff series!!! 6y
Centique I love a good fairytale retelling - and heck, sometimes even a not so good one! 😊 6y

This is one of those books that pisses me off because it could have been good and isn‘t. I enjoyed the world and mythology but all the problems of the first book— plot holes, inconsistent characterization— are here magnified and piled under other issues. ➡️ Full review on Goodreads

If there‘s one thing I absolutely cannot stand in a book it‘s inconsistency.

It was a wonderful continuation to heart of fae. I loved it just as much. It was a great twist to the ending that I didn‘t see coming. I have read heart of fae and veins of magic twice because I loved it so much. Great twist on a magical fae version of beauty and the beast.
