Great book for those with social anxiety. I felt so seen throughout most of this book. I loved how all the advice was backed up with science and how social anxiety was explained at its core. It allowed me to understand this is how I am and not some unknown subconscious trauma while providing me with the strategies to not let it impact my daily life. The book can be boring in parts but there is substance throughout.

1. Just be yourself and don‘t worry about whether people like you.
2. I like to dress as my cat for Halloween, even at work.

Though the title makes it look like just another book telling us 'to be ourself' , the contents of the book are simply mind-blowing. This book will really help you if you struggle with social anxiety, or would just like to know more about social anxiety in general. All the steps given are backed with psychology research and examples, which makes it more relatable. Definitely applying the things I learnt from this book in my daily life!

I sent this picture to my sister going “this comes out on my birthday”. She‘s like “so you want this for your birthday?” I‘m like “you know me so well” ☺️
