This book haul is an absolute “blame it on Litsy” specifically #pemberlittens , more specifically @jenniferw88
This time last year I‘m not sure I knew exactly what gothic was. After 4 novels I want more. 🤷♀️

Got this from @Melwilk for a swap, & finally getting around to it. Really great collection of horror tales. Not terrifying - more like creepy. Some twists on the classic tropes. Perfect for a short story collection. I‘ll look into some of the authors for further reading. Thanks, @Melwilk 🖤
Thanks soooo much, @Melwilk , for #mybloodyvalentineswap 🖤 🖤🖤
And I LOVE that you got the Danny Torrance funky right here in Tacoma🙌🏻 Next time you‘re up, you‘ll have to join me & some local Littens for our book club!
Thank you!!!

A collection of creepy stories. I enjoyed the whole collection, but several stories stood out for me.
“Morgan Roehmar‘s Boys” by Vivian Vande Velde—scary
“Forbidden Brides of the Faceless Slaves in the Nameless House of the Night of Dread Desire” by Neil Gaiman—weird and wonderful
“Stone Tower” by Janni Lee Simner—Rapunzel, sorta
“Writing on the Wall” by Celia Rees—ghosts and girl power
“Endings” by Garth Nix—clever
