I loved this one. She touches on many aspects of a woman‘s life & in such an inclusive way. It‘s spiritual. She refers to the “divine” & includes phrasing that leaves room for all beliefs. I have pretty low self-esteem, so owning my glow is something I aspire to & she motivated me to do so. I‘ll be coming back to this again & again. Now that I‘ve read it, I‘ll be journaling about it & planning out my rituals/meditations that she mentions.

“We are always saying that we want to be treated like queens. And the best way to get someone to treat you like a queen is to act like one— gaze through queenly eyes and walk the earth like it‘s your dominion. For some of us, it takes a bit of role playing; we may not feel as comfortable sporting our crowns because of the stories we may still be carrying about ourselves.”

quote

“We simply cannot continue to invest energy into our superficial neuroses, dramas, resentments, or fears and yet claim to be a space for creativity, abundance, and love. It‘s time to surrender those things that do not lead us to the highest good…”

quote

“The first person you must fall in love with is you. That is your holiest relationship. That is where the forgiveness starts: with you and from within.”

quote
jen_the_scribe

“Beloved, when you are being yourself, you break the mold. You construct the archetypes and shape-shift through them, you create space for personal growth, you become a scholar of the self, and you find healing, sowing the seeds of self-love.”

I‘m rather woo averse, but trying to be a little more open to it. This book was nice because it resonated with me, and even though there was some super woo in it, it was presented in a way that didn‘t turn me off. I found the portions talking about distinctly feminine gifts to be interesting. With this book, I really felt the author was telling me it was okay to take what worked for me and leave the rest on the table.
