One of the author's early books, from some 30 years ago. Enjoyable while also a little tedious.

My May book for #12Booksof2022 would be A Handful of Heaven.
This is my favourite Kristin Hannah book so far (only read about 5) but shocked to see it is out of print. I loved the story but not sure the cover on the right fitted it at all 😂 Sure that didn‘t help it‘s case. A book that just kept me wanting me to read on and on and on.
It is available on archive.org if anyone is interested and can‘t get a copy.

Day 10 #AdventRecommends May Book 2
This has to be one of my favourite Kristin Hannah books, although cover nothing to write home about. Devon O‘Shea heads to the Yukon in search of gold, only to find there has been a misunderstanding on both sides, and she is confronted by Stone Man McKenna who believes the Yukon is no place for a woman. But they are stuck with each other for the winter. Loved their confrontational relationship.

This may have been the first book Kristin Hannah had published, but is definitely no poorer for that. Loved this book from beginning to end and if you haven‘t read it I strongly recommend it. A great story set in the Yukon at the time of the gold rush and very powerful lead characters. @Eadieb @Tove_Reads
Book 3 Finished for #MarvellousMay Readathon

Yukon Territory was a gold miner's heaven, and Devon O'Shea had come to claim her share. But instead of a thriving store in a boom town, Devon discovered she was part owner of a filthy, disorganized tent with a bunch of gold diggers and a mountainous slap of animosity for a partner: Stone Man McKenna.
@EadieB Is this one of the few of hers you haven‘t read? Tried to find the few by Coben you haven‘t read as well, but couldn‘t find the post. Love to discuss a Hannah and a Coben with you and @Andrew65
