This addition to the series was a little different and I appreciated that. When a long lost relative of Charlie‘s shows up he (and Diesel) get involved in solving a cold case.

A library patron researching his family turns out to be a step-cousin Charlie didn't know he had. He was also the chief suspect in a murder case 20 years ago - the police were convinced he was guilty but couldn't prove it.

A good story but where is Kanesha? She only appears in the last 20 pages or so.

I want a cat like Diesel. Turns out it‘s a small world & even things that happened 20 years ago still have a hand in what happens today.

I didn‘t know there was a new Cat in the Stacks mystery out until I ran into it at Barnes & Noble. Then I learned Hoopla had it, so I downloaded this. Claws in another solid entry in this cozy series. This time though, Charlie and Diesel are called upon to solve a cold case — an “In Cold Blood” type murder.
