Fire! Fuego! Brave Bomberos is possibly one of my new favorite picture books. With rhymes, the author Susan Middleton Elya incorporates Spanish into this RF picture book. This is a good book for a RA in your classroom, especially during Hispanic Heritage Month. #lae3414sp19
jessicabaksh This coincides with UDL principle 2.4: promote understanding across languages. The incorporation of Spanish allows both native English speakers and EL students to thoroughly enjoy the book while learning at the same time! 6y
jessicabaksh ESOL strategies 12 (teach two objectives, language and content) and 13 (use preview/review activities). The book has a glossary in the back that translates the words and you can use that for a multitude of activities and lessons 6y

DrSpalding I love that you selected a bilingual book! Teacher blogs can be very helpful as resources for ways to effectively use these books in your classrooms. While Hispanic heritage month is a great idea so is fire prevention month. 🔥 6y
