Picture books! I had so much fun in the picture books part of the library, but my teenage son dragged me out of there (he was hangry). Couldn't even take a picture of my book for Z.

And, I read many more but already had those letters covered. 😁

What I like best about this story is how self-possessed the girl appears throughout – a young girl with a mind of her own. I recently saw a recommendation online for this lovely picture book. There are no words to accompany the lovely illustrations but I think that makes this story more meaningful. A little girl on her walk really sees the world around her while her father is unaware of the everyday beauty that surrounds him. This book is a great reminder to be in the moment!
