Enjoying the final installment in the Ex-Heroes series

Book #34 of the year “Ex-Isle” by Peter Clines

It was fine. There were 2 child sexual assault parts (one a scene, one a mention) and it really threw me off. I imagine the author was trying to make a point of what a bad guy the guy was, and/or how some people behave when there are no consequences, but it didn‘t work for me. Otherwise it was entertaining but not the best of the series.

Earnest Cline said it best “The Avengers meets The Walking Dead”. Everything I look for in a book, Post apocalyptic earth? Check! Super hero‘s? Check! Zombies? Check! If any of these things are on your reading checklist I seriously recommend digging into this series. This is the 5th book in the EX-heros series.

This is the most recent installment in one of my favorite series, and it does not disappoint. I'm always up for a good zombie apocalypse novel/series, but the Ex-Heroes series includes superheroes and supervillains as well. Lots of fun to read.

As with all the EX books, so far, just a great story and an adventure. Peter Clines manages to write stories about a zombie apocalypse that are way more about people living it than the zombies themselves. Usually when I read books about zombies, and I read a lot of them, they come of being about zombies first and the people second. Like they think I'll stop reading if they don't refer to the zombies every second paragraph or so. Great book

Ex-humans battle Ex-Heroes on Ex-Isle. Ex-cellent.
