#julyjourneys #dance Powers first novel .He always engages with ideas.Technology is examined, how it brings out democratization of art through photography, & brings modern weaponry that makes WWI more horrifying.I‘ve never reread it , it moved me on every level .I can‘t say it‘s absolutely a great read for everyone but for me it was #rightbookrighttime

Leftcoastzen @arubabookwoman I read it when it first came out.My interest in the art ,culture ,era was always high so I connected with it strongly.I love his books , have not read all of them but when I read it he had no others to compare it to.This makes me hesitant to re-read it. 6y
