Cute middle grade graphic novel. Great artwork and nice themes about working together but it‘s definitely not a crossover book-the writing needed more. My 6th grader loved it though!

Pickpick

I read this YAbook every year with my 8th graders, as part of our Dystopian societies unit. They and I absolutely relish every chapter, and beg for a sequel. Alas, Mr Nelson, never did write book 2 to this book, which was published in 1970. If you like The Hunger Games, you'll like this one as well.

EricaReads LOVE that you teach a Dystopian Societies unit! How cool! 9y
