The Last of Us: American Dreams
The Last of Us: American Dreams | Neil Druckman
2 posts | 7 read | 2 to read
Nineteen years ago, a parasitic fungal outbreak killed the majority of the world's population, forcing survivors into a handful of quarantine zones. Thirteen-year-old Ellie has grown up in this violent, postpandemic world, and her disrespect for the military authority running her boarding school earns her new enemies, a new friend in fellow rebel Riley, and her first trip into the outside world. * The official lead-in to the game from Faith Erin Hicks (The Adventures of Superhero Girl) and Naughty Dog's Neil Druckmann!

Mehso-so

16/100 I've never played the video game or seen the TV series, so maybe I'm missing the context to enjoy this more than I did. It seemed pretty standard post-apocalyptic stuff, two girls escape a military camp/school and see what the world is like outside. 3 ⭐⭐⭐

DogMomIrene The show is amazing. Mostly character-based plots, so I love it. I‘m debating buying a console to play the video game because the show is so good. 2w
AudiobookingWithLeah The show is super good...looking forward to the second season! 1w

Pickpick

4/5⭐ I'm not familiar with the game so can't comment on that connection, but this prequel stands well on its own. It combined action, worldbuilding, and character arcs very well.
