Love love love James Herriot books, and I don‘t even like animals and farming that much. They are endearing, slow enough for a relaxing pace without being boring, and insightful.

I listened to the audio, and there were times my mind wandered, probably more often during the RAF training anecdotes (though not all of them). The narrator did a very good job with voices and accents. I‘m rating it good, but am debating if I should continue on. It looks like there are only two books left, so I likely will.
I turned my leftover risotto into arancini. General consensus says they worked well!
I also finished ALL THINGS WISE AND WONDERFUL while I rolled and stuffed and coated all the wee rice balls. James Herriot is a great storyteller, but seriously: if you‘re sensitive to canine distress, skip this volume of his memoirs. SO MANY dogs get hurt, and he can‘t save all of them. #audiocooking
I got really good produce in my grocery order! This is the freshest warm Brussels sprout salad I‘ve ever cooked, and I‘m swimming in very large, very red tomatoes.
I listened to another chunk of the tagged book while I cooked. It‘s still really good, but be aware a LOT of bad things happen to dogs. Some of the cases end well and some of them really, really don‘t. #audiocooking
Took a lunchtime #audiowalk. The sidewalks were still pretty goopy from the huge snow dump we had earlier this week, but the skies were super blue.
I‘m enjoying this book as much as Herriot‘s first two. I got a big kick out of the very proper lady whose boxer had especially stinky farts. Casey‘s also a frequent farter, but he‘s much smaller and my physical sense of smell ain‘t that great, so I cope better than she did.
I have enjoyed this series so much. This book was a little different from the others, as Herriot remembers his time in the RAF and most of the vet stories are reminisces couched within the memory. Though I missed the tranquillity of the other books and wonderful Darrowby, I found some of these stories particularly memorable and moving. Why have they not released a new edition of The Good Lord Made Them All?

Not every “wonder” book from my shelves tells of a #WonderfulLife but there is certainly plenty of wonderful titles to be found there. Many of these are still unread but the tagged book & The Wonderful Wizard of Oz & Alice‘s Adventures in Wonderland are wonderful childhood favorites.📚💚
The farting Boxer. 😂 #humorousbooks #readingresolutions @Jess7

A relaxing audio book listen - read the books when I was in school and remember watching the BBC series with my dad so this was a definite comfort read/listen for me.
My #commonwealthauthors . Most of them are English, so I'm definitely in need of more shelf diversity...
