Official, original James Bond from a writer described by Len Deighton as a 'master storyteller'. Bond has lost his licence to kill. After he took revenge on the CIA agent who handed his friend over to the master criminal, Sanchez, M revoked his double 0 status and he's considered a rogue agent. With MI6 trying to bring him in and only the support of Q behind him Bond goes after Sanchez. Boarding his ship, Bond tricks his way into Sanchez's inner circle and discovers the secret of his wealth. But Bond is walking a tightrope and it is surely only a matter of time before he slips ...

To raise a martini glass to the 60th for the James Bond film franchise, I nominate the adaptation, Licence to Kill to the game. I hope to get to it soon.

Mehso-so

I can believe it took me well over a month to finish such a short book. Work has been manic #teaching #lessonplanning

Now rewarding myself with a bit of book shopping to motivate myself to make time for reading

Admission: since starting my new job 5 weeks ago I haven't actually read an entire book 😰 getting back into it with a quick read before lesson planning resumes tomorrow! #jamesbond #teacher

You know what's more convoluted that getting admitted to the New Jersey State Bar to practice law? Getting your freaking teaching license.

But after 4 years of pre-license, eligibility for license, provisional license, temporary license, and expiring licenses, I finally got my final "Standard License" today -- just weeks before school starts!

Lmstraubie The State Department is so efficient (add sarcasm here). I had to repay my fee when applying for my Librarian certification because they lost it. 7y

heikemarie I knowwwwwww it is really crazy. I am now applying for my SpEd (had another for a few years) and having traumatic flashbacks. 7y
Yossarian @inwhichHeikereadsharder In New Jersey they'll just give you a SpEd License if you promise you'll take the classes later. I've got friends in self-contained classrooms who are just winging it! 7y
Yossarian @Lmstraubie I paid different amounts for my two licenses based on inconsistent readings by different DoE employees of different regulations. I still don't know if I overpaid on one or underpaid on the other. 7y
heikemarie @Yossarian I've been "winging it" for two years ;) but just finished up my MAT in sped so doing the whole applying thing! 7y
