If you like books about people going to follow out their ambitions in another city, having experiences with random people who mostly happen to be artists, protagonists who are aspiring writers and Paris, then this is the book for you. I would have adored this in my early 20s, but reading it now, I liked it, but nothing felt original about it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

I read this book well over a decade ago and remember liking it then. Aspiring writer Eden moves to Paris in the mid-80s longing for adventure and hoping to follow in the footsteps of her literary heroes James Baldwin, Richard Wright and Langston Hughes.
