pickThis is a powerful and beautifully written collection of stories. Some stories are semi-autobiographical while characters in others are drawn from people in her life. Almost every story seems to defy sticking to one genre. The stories seem to be of the same character in different realities. Each story deals with something different: love, racism, abuse to name a few. The commonality between them is family and race and for some time stories travel.
