Jurassic World meets Dawn of the Planet of the Apes in this epic new middle grade series full of heart-pounding action and breathtaking chills! "Amazing adventures!" raves Brightly.com as they recommend Edge of Extinction as a 2016 Holiday Gift for Tween Readers. One hundred and fifty years ago, the first dinosaurs were cloned. Soon after, they replaced humans at the top of the food chain. The only way to survive was to move into underground compounds. . . . Five years ago, Sky Mundys father vanished from North Compound without a trace. Now she has just stumbled on a clue that not only suggests his disappearance is just the tip of an even larger mystery, but also points directly to the surface. To find her dadand possibly even save the worldSky and her best friend, Shawn, must break out of their underground home and venture topside to a land reclaimed by nature and ruled by dinosaurs. Perfect for fans of Brandon Mull, Lisa McMann, and Rick Riordan, this exhilarating debut novel follows two courageous friends who must survive in a lost world thats as dangerous as theyve always feared but also unlike anything they could ever have imagined.

Finished the Evolution of Claire in a day. I loved it and was very connected to her as a character. The book got emotional a lot of the time but enjoyed it. Now onto the next read of my dino readathon which is this. Should be fun @Jackal121 🦕📚❤️📖🦖 happy reading all.

smilingshelves Love this book! Although that's a cover I haven't seen. I might not have picked it up originally if that scary dino was on the cover! 😄 5y
hannah-leeloo @smilingshelves yay I'm excited for it and it's sequel, in some places I've seen there are 3 books 🤔 shall see lol. Happy reading 5y

Sunny February days in the Pacific Northwest are such a gift. We spent today at the nearby Champoeg State Park, and listened to some of this book on the to and from trip. The kids both loved the book and now I‘m hooked!

My brother is SO not a reader, but recommended this book to me for the #middlegrade recommended by a kid prompt for #BBRC. A fun, kid version of Jurassic Park that was enjoyable and also had me freaking out (WHO DOESN‘T SUPERVISE 12 YEAR OLDS?). ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Book 17/30 for #BFCR2

LibrarianRyan Yeah. I‘ve looked at this a few times but haven‘t picked it up glad you enjoyed it. 5y

I forgot this weekend is the #24in48 readathon! I just signed up and this is my “stack” for the weekend. I‘m starting at 53% in the tagged book and The Book Thief is next in line. Both are for my library‘s adult summer reading program. With a 3-year old and my husband out for the day tomorrow, I won‘t need a big stack! The only other book that may sneak in is the 2nd Edge of Extinction book I ordered that might arrive before the ‘thon ends!

smilingshelves The Edge of Extinction books are so good! 6y
BucklingBookshelves @smilingshelves I just finished the first one and it was really good! It was an ebook, but I‘ll have to get a hard copy because I think it will be fantastic to share with my kiddo when he‘s older 😊 6y
smilingshelves I read a library copy, then had to buy a copy for myself and my school library. Book Outlet had it then, so you might want to check there... ☺️ 6y
BucklingBookshelves @smilingshelves I did see that they still have it! It‘s in my cart, (you know, for later) but I‘ll hold off awhile yet as I‘m already expecting a Book Outlet order soon 😬🙊📚 6y

I‘m not a big ebook reader, but I wanted to check off that category for my library‘s summer reading program. And Amazon Prime recently ran a $0.99/3-months deal on Kindle Unlimited which was so cheap I figured, why not? In truth, I signed up because you can get Whispersync deals on Audible editions of Kindle Unlimited ebooks... but it came in handy today when I spotted this RAR recommended page-turner which is EXACTLY what I need in an ebook!

This is the #best book about dinosaurs I have ever read. What if you cloned dinosaurs, but then they became the dominant species and you were forced to live underground? #30daysofreadathon

My first Book Outlet order is here! Evidence of my obsession with middle grade novels and two books for my husband. (How else was I going to convince him to let me spend money on books? Bribery works.) ☺ #bookmail
