3 posts | 7 read | 3 to read
Gabriel's angel: "All Gabriel Bradley wants is solitude. But when a very pregnant--and very beautiful--woman ends up at his remote cabin during a blizzard, desperate, alone, and on the run, the modern-day Scrooge can't bring himself to turn her away. Despite her intrusion, Laura brings Gabriel the gifts of passion, hope, and life--he just needs to find the courage to reach for them"--Page [4] of cover.

Two books in one - the first story wasn't remotely Christmasy?? It didn't even take place in the winter!! I think an editor must have decided that "Gabriel's Angel" sounded like a Christmas story and plopped it in here ? Book two was okay, but I hate the trope where a woman's like "oh teehee I had your baby nine years ago & didn't bother telling you!!" But it was short so I powered through, mostly because I was excited about checking ⬇️

Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick Oh boy! Your favorite trope and a non-holiday story?! At least it earned you some points and checked some challenge boxes. 💚 4y

Hallmark movie in book form. A sweet, compelling, quick read to get you in the holiday mood. #wintergames #holidayread #elfies @StayCurious @Clwojick @Bookwormjillk

I decided to read some romance to settle my feeling after finishing The Power of Five, so I chose this one. Took me two weeks to finish, because
1. I lost it somewhere in the house, a few time, and
2. It doesn't have the wow factor to keep me reading.
3. I'm not really in the mood of adult books right now 😅
So, yeah, back to the YA books craze!!
