Church of the Small Things: The Million Little Pieces That Make Up a Life | 
so-soThis was a tough book to review because while it was funny and entertaining, it wasn't anything like what I expected. It gives the idea that it will focus on perseverance in the small things, but ended up being a collection of memoirs with the occasional discussion of God working in the little moments. Don't get me wrong, it was very funny, just not what I imagined based on the description.
pickDefinitely a book to read when you need a pick me up, a good cry, and a reminder that life is in the details.
I liked that she said when she first started writing that a publisher said no one wants to read memoirs of non-famous people.
I think most of us want to hear real, honest stories from people like us. It reminds us we are all together in this life and gives us comfort to know none of us are 'normal.'
