In my Goodreads deal email and I thought, why not? I‘ve always heard good things about Tiffany Reisz but I don‘t think I‘ve read anything by her or maybe I haven‘t finished anything I‘ve tried by her. This one looks a little trippy. We‘ll see! 🤷♀️

So definitely erotica and not a romance, even if there kind of is a hea. I liked it. I liked the concept and the way Reisz writes. Except she used the word "hole" a lot and I just don't like it in that setting. It was a strange book and I like strange.
Nope, nope, NOPE. I should prefice this by saying that I love Tiffany Reisz and her books are pretty much auto buys for me. I'm also not the type to shy away from racy erotic content.
That said, this was a massive let down. It felt like all sex, no substance. Primarily just shock value. I hung in there for the twist I figured must be coming, but even that fell flat. Didn't do it for me at all. Mostly just made me uncomfortable 👎🏼
Now reading The Red. I really like Reisz's writing. There is debate as to whether or not this can be labeled romance. It is definitely erotica. #currentlyreading
The Red by Tiffany Reisz is out today and we've established it's under the Happy Porn genre. Which is also like the filthiest book I've read EVER. I've never encountered a book that would exceed my hard limits like this one. It's definitely not for all (as I don't classify it really as romance) but if you want to test how far you can go, this erotic fantasy hits all that spots! I'm rating based on how it's tagged (as e-fantasy), not as romance.
