Pickpick

3⭐️ Confession time. If I had been reading this book I would have DNFed it before ⅓ of the way through. Mainly because it's based around religious practices, and that is not my cup of tea. However, since I was listening it on audiobook (Thank you #AudioBookSYNC) I not only didn‘t DNF the book, I completed it, and am now on a manhunt for the sequels on audiobook.

night_shift I got this from audiobook sync too, but couldn't handle it. 😩 7y
LibrarianRyan @UnidragonFrag I think because I was at working was background noise that got interesting... in the car it would have put me to sleep. 7y
night_shift 😂😂 I listened while cleaning but it was just so dull and the main character rubbed me the wrong way. The ending was ok though? 7y
LibrarianRyan @UnidragonFrag yes. It worked as a complete end. A second novel isn't needed but I'm interested. As audio book only. I don't think I could read it. 7y

This is the second book in as many months where reading and writing were taboo, or obsolete. What do you think? Will reading and writing become obsolete in the future?

CatLass007 Writing, probably. Reading? Hard to imagine. 7y
julesG Writing by hand, pen on paper, might become obsolete. Reading? Don't think so. Basically, I think both will still be used in the future, in different forms, though. 7y
LittlePixels My hubby (who reads, but much, much less than I) thinks "nobody reads anymore". He thinks it will be obsolete. I disagree, and I hope he's wrong, because I don't want to live in that world. ? 7y
readinginthedark I'm with @julesG . Even if print becomes obsolete and they implant chips in our heads, I think there will be writing, reading, and visual components of whatever information pops up in our brains/sight. (edited) 7y

I love listening to an #audiobook while I drive, run, wash dishes, sew, etc. Check out audiobooksync.com this #summer for 2 FREE #audiobooks each week. You just need the Overdrive app (which is also free). #summerreading There's a list of upcoming titles, too!
